  • “Ice Ball” dinner & dance at Wentworth Event Center, East Belfast – 6 to 10 pm
    • sponsored by Damariscotta Bank & Trust
  • Child care/activity drop-off centers (includes light meal) at
    • Belfast Free Library (8+) –Free – 6 pm to 8:30 pm – movies, games
    • Kids Unplugged – Fee Required – all ages; 5:30 pm to 10 pm – dancing, sports, games, movie
    • Prior registration required for both (call either facility!)

  • Outdoor activities
    • 8 am to 10 am, Belfast Footbridge – Harbor Bird Watch on the footbridge with Ron Harrell –hosted by Belfast Bay Watershed Coalition
    • 10 am to noon – Waterfall Arts / City Ice Rink – Ice Skating by age group
      • 10 am to 11 am – Under age 12; 11 am to noon – 12 and older
    • 10 to 11 am – Wentworth Event Center – Coastal Power Sports equipment demonstrations (during the Chili Cook-Off)
    • 10 am to noon – Waterfall Arts – Girls Scouts skills demonstration, including Hula Hoops!
    • 10 am to 11:30 am – Rail Trail – HIKING THE RAIL TRAIL!  Cross Country Skiing, led by Coastal Mountains Land Trust
    • 10 am to 2 pm – AS CONDITIONS PERMIT!  sledding, sliding & cardboard tobogganing on Belfast Commons (“Chicken Hill”)
    • 10 am to 4 pm – Boathouse – FREE phone charging station provided by U.S. Cellular
    • 11 am to noon – “The Muck” (Kirby Pond) – Hike in-town nature trail from The Muck –led by Belfast Bay Watershed Coalition
    • 11 am to noon – Hike Little River Trail from Water District office, Rt. 1. – led by Belfast Bay Watershed Coalition
    • 1 pm to 3 pm – Waterfall Arts / City Ice Rink – AS CONDITIONS PERMIT!  Ice Bowling (in teams) and other outdoor activities
    • 1 pm to 4 pm – CANCELLED DUE TO YUCK!  Snow Graffiti at Belfast Co-op – free to try your hand at designing on snow! Natural colorings, of course  (NOTE:  This is a “maybe” and totally dependent on the weather!!)
    • 3 pm to 7 pm – IT’S ON!   Teen “Snow Bash” at Waterfall Arts with outdoor sports, games, music & dancing, Sumo Snow Battles, outdoor videos – hosted by Kids Unplugged
  • Indoor activities
    • 9 am – 2 pm – United Farmers Market – Sample “Micro Virgin Bloody Marys” made with Mainah Fiyah Cidah to warm up!  This is at the Aurora Botanicals Maine booth, inside the United Farmers Market of Maine on Spring Street.  They will also have a class “Dance Back From the Flu” from 10 – 12:30 pm  
    • 10 am to 2 pm –Winter Arts & Crafts, Belfast Boathouse – sponsored & staffed by Cornerspring Montessori School
    • 10 am to noon – Belfast Curling Club – Hands on curling demonstrations
    • 10 to 11 am – Chili Cook-off at Wentworth Event Center –  FREE tastings –  hosted by Front Street Pub & Wentworth Event Center
    • 12:30 to 2:30 pm – Crosby Center – Spruce Top Holler ($5.oo charge at the door; performances sponsored in part by Airwaves, Inc., Belfast)
    • 3 to 5 p.m – Crosby Center  – Golden Oaks  ($5.oo charge at the door; performances sponsored in part by Airwaves, Inc., Belfast)
    • 4 pm – “Line of Descent”, a Warren Miller film; a winter sports film at Colonial Theater – FREE, sponsored by Side Country Sports, Colburn Shoe Co. & The Colonial Theater
  • Warm-up stations for hot chocolate, tea, soup, etc. around town

    • 9 am to noon – Waldo County YMCA – HIKING THE TRAIL!  Snow Shoeing on Little River Trail, hosted by Coastal Health Alliance – FREE snow shoe use as supplies allow  (or hike the Trail if no snow!)
    • 10 am to 11:30 am – Steamboat Landing / Boathouse – Outdoor Winter Kitchen demonstration by North Star Adventures
    • 10 am to 3 pm – Rail Trail – “Fat Bike” demonstrations and FREE “loaners” by Sidecountry Sports
    • 10 am to 3 pm – AS CONDITIONS PERMIT… sledding, sliding & cardboard tobogganing on Belfast Commons (“Chicken Hill”)
    • 11:30 am to 2 pm – Steamboat Landing outside of Boathouse – The Game Loft exhibition of battle techniques & Game of Thrones enactment
    • 12 noon to 2 pm – Steamboat Landing outside Boathouse –Ice Carving demonstration by Tim Pierce, Chef at Samoset Resort
  • Indoor activities
    • 8 am to 10 am – Waldo County YMCA – Pancake Breakfast (fee charged – $4 adults, $3.50 12&under, $20 family max)
    • 11 am to 2 pm –Boathouse – The Game Loft games and activities
    • 12 noon to 12:55 pm – Crosby Center – Modern Dance Performance by Shana Bloomstein and Julia Clapp (FREE; performance sponsored by City of Belfast Parks & Rec Department)
