Common Ground Fair - September 24, 25 & 26

Get your Common Ground Fair tickets and posters at the Belfast Co-op! Adult tickets $10, seniors $8, children (12 & under) free. Common Ground Fair 2010 posters are $10. Ask for them at the registers. Celebrate Rural Living with the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) at their signature event, celebrating Maine's organic bounty. The Fair allows fairgoers to make connections with a rapidly expanding base of organic farms in the state of Maine. Hundreds of vendors, exhibitors and demos, more than 1000 volunteers, and tens of thousands of fairgoers will gather to: share knowledge about sustainable living; eat delicious, organic, Maine-grown food; buy and sell beautiful Maine crafts and useful agricultural products; compete in various activities; dance; sing and have a great time. September Cooking Class with Paul Drowns of New Forest Institute

ON YOUR MARK FOR THE SECOND ANNUAL “RUN FOR THE HILLS”

Coastal Mountains Land Trust is gearing up to host its second annual Run for the Hills in Belfast on Saturday, September 11. There’s something for everyone at this dual event, which offers a 10-kilometer competitive road race and a 5-kilometer fun run/walk. Registration for all events begins at 7am at Waterfall Arts on 256 High Street in Belfast.
