More Than 1,300 Sites Offering Free Admission Through "Blue Star Museums" Program
Active-duty military personnel and their families will enjoy free admission at Penobscot Marine Museum, due to the new "Blue Star Museums" program at the Searsport landmark. More than 1,300 museums nationwide are participating in Blue Star Museums, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families.
"Penobscot Marine Museum is proud to give a little something back to the men and women of our nation's armed forces in recognition of their dedicated service to our country," said Executive Director Liz Lodge. "We look forward to welcoming them and their families with free admission for the entire year."
Leadership support for Blue Star Museums has been provided by MetLife Foundation through Blue Star Families. The complete list of participating museums is at www.arts.gov/bluestarmuseums.
