FRIENDS OF BELFAST PARKS is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, improvement, and use of Belfast 's parks and green spaces.

ARTS IN THE PARK, a juried arts and crafts fair with over 80 fine artists and artisans, has been an annual event the weekend after July 4th (see events calendar for the date) since 1995. With its festival atmosphere and stunning location, on Belfast's harborfront, it draws thousands of attendees. Besides the huge variety of unique and interesting art (pottery, fibre art, metalwork, paintings, photography, jewelery, baskets, and more) a variety of live music is performed during the two day event. The event is the main fund-raiser for Friends of Belfast Parks projects.
