The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.
We hold 3 major fundraising events throughout the year that support our programs and services. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a 1 to 3 mile walk that takes place every October and raises funds for our Breast Cancer programs and research. Daffodil Days takes place every March, when sunny daffodils are ordered and then delivered as a symbol of hope. Relay For Life, our overnight fundraising event, takes place in June. Teams camp out overnight and enjoy community, fellowship, games, prizes, and a music all night long. There are pictures from all 3 events below.
