The Numbers Are In for July 4th

E-mail Print PDF

Mike H. was asking me how's business this season? We're busy at the Maine Coast Welcome Center, with our 2000th guest just signing in last week. Here a some stats for your viewing pleasure:

From the MPBN News, " Maine Turnpike Traffic over Holiday Exceeds Expectation: And those expectations were for a seven percent increase in traffic at the York Toll Plaza compared with last year; instead, traffic increased by 8.9 percent."

From the National Park Service: "% Change YTD, Mount Desert Island  19.9"

We love the mailing the DOT did showing the "Belfast route to Acadia", sent to businesses in Ellsworth & Acadia.

So enjoy the weather and the strong business season we're having.
