27th Annual Trek Across Maine
From the mountains of Sunday River to the sea in
Belfast, Maine, enjoy the beautiful scenery as you
cycle 180 miles across the state in support of the
mission of the American Lung Association. All age
and experience levels are welcome. This ride is fully
supported with mechanics, medics, SAG to insure
an enjoyable ride. Friday overnight accommodations
are provided at the University of Maine Farmington
location. Saturday accommodations provided at Colby
College in Waterville. Volunteers welcome.

Golf Fore Kids at Searsport Pines
Golf Course
Ninth Annual Golf Fore Kids, a benefit golf tourna-
ment sponsored by the Waldo County YMCA will
be held on Saturday - June 25 at Searsport Pines
Golf Course. The 18-hole scramble will have prizes
and contests. For information, call the YMCA at
338-4598. All proceeds will support financial aid for
Waldo County children and families. Shotgun start at
8:00 a.m. Cost $60/person - includes lunch.

Belfast Garden Club Open Garden Days
at Searsport Shores
Guided Tours of the gardens from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Flower and vegetable gardens on reclaimed bog land,
apiary, water gardens, shorefront gardening for land
conservation and edible landscape. Ongoing natural dye
demonstration and fiber exhibit in the art studio. Public
welcome, proceeds from the 2011 Garden Tour will
benefit the Club's civic beautification projects.
