The Belfast Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization directed by an all volunteer board of directors. The organization contracts outside services to enhance what the board and members are able to accomplish.

In May of 2006, Melanie Sheafe joined the Chamber as the Director of Sales & Marketing. Melanie is available to serve our members Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm at our office on Lower Main Street in Belfast, Maine. The office is located on the second floor above County Copy. The Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce issues an award winning area guide book annually. Over 37,000 guides are distributed throughout the state of Maine and New England to visitor centers and information centers. Guides are mailed worldwide to inquiring individuals who are interested in our area. Area member businesses benefit from advertising or listing their business in the guide. We are currently working on the 2007 guide book. The Belfast Chamber of Commerce operates a seasonal (May through October) Visitor Information Center in downtown Belfast. We invite you to make the Center your first stop when you visit the area.
